Work package 3 – Technical design and construction of the up scaled storage system

The aim of this work package will be the development of an organic redox-flow battery for the incorporation in a smart grid. First step is to determine the required specifications for a battery system. This will be input for the electrochemical and CFD modelling, which will lead to an electrical and mechanical design. The design will be constructed as prototype. The prototype will be tested and optimized. If approved the prototype will be commissioned and optimization and testing of construction is carried out.
